Kazuhiro Miyamoto is a Japanese politician and former bureaucrat currently serving as a member of the House of Councillors. A graduate of the University of Tokyo, he began his career at the Ministry of Construction (now the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism). He served three terms as the mayor of Moriyama City, Shiga Prefecture, from 2011 to 2023, where he focused on administrative reforms, including the management transition of the Moriyama City Hospital and the promotion of local cycling tourism initiatives like 'Biwaichi'. In 2025, he was elected to the House of Councillors representing the Shiga Prefecture constituency as a member of the Liberal Democratic Party.
