Mkhuleko Hlengwa

Mkhuleko Hlengwa is a South African politician who has served as the Deputy Minister of Transport since July 2024. A member of the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP), he has represented the party in the National Assembly since 2012. Hlengwa previously gained national prominence as the chairperson of Parliament's Standing Committee on Public Accounts (SCOPA) from 2019 to 2024, where he focused on investigating state capture and government accountability. Before his parliamentary career, he was active in the IFP Youth Brigade, serving as its national chairperson from 2011 to 2019. He is known for his vocal political style and his role as the national spokesperson for the IFP.
