Mohammed Tahir Monguno is a Nigerian lawyer and politician currently serving as a Senator representing Borno North in the 10th National Assembly, where he holds the position of Chief Whip. Previously, he served as a long-standing member of the House of Representatives for the Marte/Monguno/Nganzai Federal Constituency from 2007 to 2023, having also held the role of Chief Whip in the 9th House. Throughout his career, he has served as the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of Borno State and has been a vocal advocate for security reforms and constitutional amendments, including the promotion of independent candidacy in Nigerian elections.
