Monique Hermes

Monique Hermes is a Luxembourgish politician and former educator who serves as the Mayor of Grevenmacher. Born in 1950, she spent her professional career as a teacher in Grevenmacher from 1971 until her retirement in 2011. Following her retirement, she entered local politics and was elected to the municipal council, where she served as an alderman before assuming the role of mayor in December 2023. In addition to her political career, she has been a long-time contributor to local journalism and has received the Mérite européen medal for her community service.
