Muriel Jourda

Muriel Jourda is a French politician and lawyer who has served as a Senator for the Morbihan department since 2017. A member of The Republicans, she made history in October 2024 by becoming the first woman elected as president of the Senate's Law Committee. Previously, she served as the mayor of Port-Louis and as a vice-president of the Morbihan departmental council. Known for her work on the Benalla inquiry, she is often associated with the conservative wing of her party and maintains a focus on legal and constitutional affairs.
