Nadia Sminate is a Belgian politician and member of the New Flemish Alliance (N-VA). Born in 1981, she holds a degree in romance philology from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and previously worked as an adult education teacher. Sminate has held several significant political roles, including serving as the mayor of Londerzeel, where she became the first Flemish mayor of Moroccan descent. She has been a member of the Flemish Parliament since 2014 and has served as its third vice-president since 2019.
