長坂尚登

Naoto Nagasaka is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Toyohashi. A graduate of the University of Tokyo, he previously worked in the private sector and served as a member of the Toyohashi City Council for three terms. Nagasaka gained prominence for his opposition to the city's new arena construction project in Toyohashi Park, which became a central issue in his successful 2024 mayoral campaign. Following his election, he sought to cancel the project, leading to significant political friction with the city council, though a subsequent 2025 referendum resulted in public support for the project's continuation.
