Napoleón Gómez Urrutia is a Mexican politician and labor leader serving as a federal deputy since September 2024. He is the long-standing secretary general of the National Union of Mine, Metal, Steel and Similar Workers of the Mexican Republic and president of the International Confederation of Workers. Previously, he served as a senator from 2018 to 2024, where he chaired the Labor and Social Welfare Commission. His career has been marked by significant controversy, including allegations of financial mismanagement, money laundering, and extortion, as well as his period of self-imposed exile in Canada.
