Narend Singh is a South African politician currently serving as a Member of the National Assembly and as the chief whip and treasurer-general of the Inkatha Freedom Party. Born in 1954 in Umkomaas, he began his political career in the late 1980s and served in the Senate from 1994 to 1996. He later held a position on the KwaZulu-Natal Executive Council from 1997 to 2006. Since his appointment to the National Assembly in 2007, he has been consistently re-elected to represent his party in the national legislature.
