Nelly Kalfs

Nelly Kalfs is a Dutch administrator and the current Mayor of Lingewaard, a position she has held since September 2020. She holds a doctorate in social sciences from the University of Amsterdam. Prior to her mayoral appointment, she held various professional roles, including positions at the Stichting KijkOnderzoek, the Ministry of Transport and Water Management, the Municipality of Amsterdam, and Rijkswaterstaat. As mayor, she manages portfolios including public order, safety, and communications, while also serving in leadership roles for several regional water and safety organizations.
