Ângela Almeida

Ângela Almeida is a Portuguese politician and former teacher who served as a deputy to the Assembly of the Republic of Portugal representing the Social Democratic Party for the Aveiro constituency following the 2024 legislative election. In addition to her national parliamentary duties, where she joined the Education and Science Committee, she has served as mayor of Esgueira and as a member of the board of directors of the National Association of Parishes. Her parliamentary tenure concluded after she was removed from candidate lists following controversies regarding her academic qualifications.
