Nicodemos Damianou

Nicodemos Damianou is a Cypriot IT and information security professional and politician serving as the Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy of the Republic of Cyprus since January 2024. Born in Lefkosia in 1973, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Brown University, a Ph.D. in Computer Security and Policy-based Management from Imperial College London, a Diploma in Information Security from Imperial College, and an MBA from the University of Cyprus. Prior to his government appointment, he built an extensive career in payment systems, fintech, risk management, and digital transformation, including serving as general manager of JCC Payment Systems Ltd and as a board member of the Bank of Cyprus.
