Nihal Abeysinghe is a Sri Lankan politician and epidemiologist currently serving as a Member of Parliament. Before entering politics, he had a distinguished career as a consultant epidemiologist and served as the deputy director of the Institute for Research & Development. He currently holds the position of General Secretary of the National People's Power (NPP) party. Following his retirement from his medical career, he transitioned into active politics and successfully contested the 2024 Sri Lankan parliamentary election representing the Kalutara District.
