Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos

Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos is a Greek politician and member of the New Democracy party. Born in Kavala in 1965, he has served as a long-standing member of the Hellenic Parliament. He notably served as the Minister for National Defence in the cabinet of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis from 2019 to 2023. During his tenure as Minister, he oversaw significant military modernization efforts, including the procurement of Dassault Rafale fighter aircraft and the establishment of a strategic defence pact with France. He continues to represent the Kavala constituency in the Hellenic Parliament.
