Katsuhide Nishizono is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives. Born in Funabashi, Chiba, in 1968, he graduated from Hokkaido University with a degree in civil engineering and later completed his master's degree there. He began his professional career in 1995 by joining the Ministry of Transport, now the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. Over his career, he held various positions including serving as the Port Bureau Chief of Shizuoka Prefecture and as a counselor for the Reconstruction Agency. In 2024, he was elected to the House of Representatives representing the Tokai proportional block, and he was re-elected in 2026 as a candidate for the Centrist Reform Alliance, a coalition involving Komeito.
