Nnamdi Chukwuocha

Nnamdi Chukwuocha is an American politician, social worker, and poet currently serving as a member of the Delaware House of Representatives for District 1. Born in Wilmington, Delaware, he is a U.S. Army veteran and has spent over three decades working in the nonprofit sector, including as a director at Interfaith Community Housing of Delaware. Alongside his twin brother, Al Mills, he is known as one of the 'Twin Poets' and serves as a Poet Laureate of Delaware. His political career began on the Wilmington City Council, where he served from 2012 to 2018. His legislative work and poetry often address critical social issues such as gun violence, poverty, and criminal justice reform.
