Тау, Нургул

Nurgul Tau is a Kazakhstani politician, educator, and state official currently serving as a member of the Majilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan since March 2023. Born in Bayan-Ulgii, Mongolia, she moved to Kazakhstan in 1992. Before entering national politics, she held various roles in education, including serving as a specialist in moral and spiritual education for the Almaty City Education Department. She holds multiple degrees, including a master's in political science from Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, as well as postgraduate qualifications from the University of Sheffield and the University of Southern California. In 2024, she was awarded the Medal for Labor Distinction.
