小川克巳

Katsumi Ogawa is a Japanese politician and physical therapist serving as a member of the House of Councillors. Born in Kitakyushu, he built a career in rehabilitation medicine, eventually serving as vice-chairman of the Japanese Physical Therapy Association. First elected to the House of Councillors in 2016, he advocates for the integration of rehabilitation professionals into community-based care systems to address Japan's aging population and the '2025 problem.' After an unsuccessful bid in 2022, he returned to the Diet in January 2025 following a vacancy. He is known for his focus on social welfare, preventive healthcare, and medical cost reduction.
