Fumiyo Okuda is a Japanese politician serving as a member of the House of Councillors and as a co-representative of the Reiwa Shinsengumi party. Born in Fukuoka, she is a graduate of the Musashino Academia Musicae and previously worked as a piano instructor. Her political activism began following the 2011 Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster, leading her to advocate against the restart of the Genkai Nuclear Power Plant. Beyond her parliamentary duties, she is known for her leadership in the 'National Cult School Rule Abolition Project,' a civic group dedicated to reforming school regulations. She was elected to the House of Councillors in July 2025 and assumed the role of party co-representative in February 2026.
