Мережко, Александр Александрович

Oleksandr Merezhko is a Ukrainian legal scholar, professor, and politician currently serving as a People's Deputy of Ukraine. A specialist in international law and philosophy of law, he holds a doctorate in legal sciences and has held academic positions at institutions including the Kyiv National Linguistic University and various international universities. Elected to the Verkhovna Rada in 2019 as a member of the Servant of the People party, he chairs the Committee on Foreign Policy and Interparliamentary Cooperation. Merezhko is known for his academic work on the theory of international law and his vocal advocacy regarding the legal implications of Russian aggression against Ukraine, including the status of Crimea and the Russian Federation's position within the United Nations.
