Valentyn Nalyvaichenko is a Ukrainian politician and former diplomat who currently serves as a People's Deputy of Ukraine. He previously held the position of Chairman of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) on two separate occasions, from 2006 to 2010 and again from 2014 to 2015, during which he oversaw significant reforms and the declassification of Soviet-era archives. A veteran of the diplomatic service, he served as Ukraine's Ambassador to Belarus and as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. Nalyvaichenko has been a prominent figure in Ukrainian politics, participating in the Euromaidan movement and founding the 'Justice' political movement. He is known for his pro-European stance and his efforts to strengthen Ukraine's national security and anti-corruption frameworks.
