Oliver Kaczmarek

Oliver Kaczmarek is a German politician and a member of the Bundestag representing the Unna district since 2009. A member of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) and its left-wing Parliamentary Left faction, he has focused extensively on education, research, and technology assessment throughout his parliamentary career. Since 2018, he has served as the education and research spokesperson for the SPD parliamentary group. Kaczmarek has also played a significant role in coalition negotiations, including those for the 2017 and 2021 federal governments, and has held various advisory positions in academic and political organizations, such as the Leibniz Association and the University of Hagen.
