Masaki Ogushi

Masaki Ogushi is a Japanese politician and researcher serving as a member of the House of Representatives for the Liberal Democratic Party. Born in Nishinomiya, Hyogo, he holds a doctorate from the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology and previously worked at IHI Corporation and as a university professor. First elected to the Diet in 2012, he has held several government positions, including State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, State Minister of Cabinet Office, and State Minister for Digital Transformation. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Committee on Health, Labour and Welfare. Politically, he supports constitutional reform, including the addition of emergency provisions, and advocates for the continued use of nuclear power in Japan.
