Orhan Sümer is a Turkish academic and politician currently serving as a Member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. Before entering national politics, he had a distinguished career in academia, serving as a faculty member and later as the Dean of the Faculty of Education at Gaziosmanpaşa University. He is a graduate of Gazi University's Faculty of Education. While early reports linked him to the Justice and Development Party, he currently represents the Republican People's Party (CHP) as a Member of Parliament for Adana, where he has been active in legislative budget discussions.
