Oto Klempíř

Oto Klempíř is a Czech politician and musician who has served as the Minister of Culture in the third cabinet of Andrej Babiš since December 2025. He has been a member of the Chamber of Deputies representing the Motorists for Themselves party since 2025. Prior to his political career, he was a prominent frontman and lyricist for the band J.A.R. from 1989 to 2025 and wrote lyrics for numerous notable Czech artists. His political entry led to his departure from the band, and his background includes a documented period of collaboration with the Czechoslovak state security service during the 1980s.
