Ouidad Bakkali is an Italian politician serving as a member of the Chamber of Deputies since 2022. Born in Morocco and raised in Ravenna, Italy, she began her political career with the Left Youth and later joined the Democratic Party. Before her election to the national parliament, she served as a municipal councilor and president of the municipal council of Ravenna, as well as an assessor for the city. Bakkali is known for her advocacy on civil rights and citizenship reform, including proposals for ius soli and ius scholae.
