Özlem Özen

Özlem Özen is a Belgian politician affiliated with the Socialist Party. Born in Charleroi, she studied law and worked as an assistant in criminal law at the Université libre de Bruxelles before joining the Brussels Bar as a criminal defense lawyer. She began her political career as an alderwoman in Aiseau-Presles and later served as a member of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives from 2010 to 2024. In 2024, she became a member of the Walloon Parliament and the Parliament of the French Community, where she also serves as second vice-president. Her political focus centers on social equality, justice reform, and combating poverty.
