Palmira Maciel

Palmira Maciel is a Portuguese politician and educator who has served as a deputy in the Assembly of the Republic since 2015, representing the Braga constituency. Born in Lamaçães, she holds a degree in biology and geology education and previously worked as a secondary school teacher. Her political career began at the local level, where she served in the Lamaçães Parish Assembly, as president of the Lamaçães Parish Council, and as a councillor on the Braga Municipal Council. A member of the Socialist Party, she has focused her legislative work on public administration, decentralization, and health policy.
