Carlos Abreu Amorim

Carlos Abreu Amorim is a Portuguese politician currently serving as the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, a position he assumed in June 2025. Previously, he served as the Secretary of State for Parliamentary Affairs from 2024 to 2025 and was a member of the Assembly of the Republic between 2011 and 2019. Throughout his career, he has been a prominent figure within the Social Democratic Party, notably advocating for policy changes such as the removal of advertising from the public broadcaster RTP. He returned to government service under the administration of Prime Minister Luís Montenegro.
