Paloma Valencia

Paloma Valencia is a Colombian politician, lawyer, writer, and economist who has served as a Senator of Colombia since 2014. Born in Popayán, she is the granddaughter of former President Guillermo León Valencia and is a prominent member of the conservative Democratic Centre party. Throughout her career, she has been a vocal figure in national politics, known for her opposition to the Petro administration and her advocacy for conservative policy reforms. She was a candidate in the 2026 Colombian presidential election.
