Pamela Wallin is a Canadian politician, diplomat, and former television journalist. Appointed to the Senate of Canada in 2009, she has served as an independent senator representing Saskatchewan. Before her political career, she was a prominent broadcaster, hosting programs such as Canada AM and Prime Time News, and served as Canada's consul general in New York City from 2002 to 2006. She is an Officer of the Order of Canada and has received numerous honorary degrees for her contributions to journalism and public service.
