Born in 1978 in Lutherstadt Eisleben, he completed training as a construction mechanic and served for eight years as a soldier in the Bundeswehr. Before entering state politics, he worked as a product manager and qualified as a state-certified technician for mechanical engineering. In addition to his parliamentary mandate, which he assumed in 2025, he serves as a member of the district council of Wartburgkreis and the city council of Bad Salzungen.
