Patrick Ocan is a Ugandan politician and economist who previously served as a Member of Parliament representing Apac Municipality. An alumnus of Makerere University, where he earned a degree in Qualitative Economics, Ocan began his political career with the Ugandan People's Congress (UPC). His tenure was marked by legal challenges, including his removal from office by the Constitutional Court in 2019 following a ruling that nullified several constituencies created after the 2016 elections. Following his expulsion from the UPC, Ocan has announced his intention to contest the 2026 parliamentary elections as an independent candidate.
