Patrick Weiler

Patrick Weiler is a Canadian politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for West Vancouver—Sunshine Coast—Sea to Sky Country since 2019. A former lawyer specializing in environmental and aboriginal law, he has focused his legislative work on climate action, housing infrastructure, and electoral reform. Throughout his tenure, Weiler has occasionally challenged his own party's leadership, notably calling for a secret ballot on the Prime Minister's leadership and advocating for a ceasefire in the Gaza war. In 2025, he was elected chair of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans.
