Patty Contreras

Patty Contreras is an American politician serving as a Democratic member of the Arizona House of Representatives, representing District 12 since her election in 2022. She is recognized as one of the first openly lesbian individuals elected to the Arizona House of Representatives. Prior to her legislative career, Contreras worked for the city of Phoenix, Arizona, for over 31 years, serving as a program manager in the departments of human services and parks and recreation. In the state legislature, she focuses on policy areas including health and human services, as well as transportation and infrastructure.
