Paul Prosper

Paul Prosper is a Canadian politician who has served as a senator from Nova Scotia since July 2023. Born in 1965, he grew up in the Paq'tnkek First Nation and later pursued a career in law, focusing on Mi'kmaq legal support and treaty rights. Before his appointment to the Senate, he served as Chief of the Paq'tnkek First Nation from 2013 to 2020 and as the Regional Chief of Nova Scotia and Newfoundland for the Assembly of First Nations. He is recognized for his advocacy regarding Indigenous rights and legal representation.
