Paulette Senior

Paulette Senior is a Canadian politician and non-profit executive who has served as a member of the Senate of Canada since her appointment in December 2023. Before entering the Senate, she held prominent leadership roles in the non-profit sector, including serving as the CEO of the Canadian Women's Foundation and YWCA Canada. Senior has a background in psychology and urban studies from York University. Throughout her career, she has been an advocate for social equity and women's rights. She previously sought public office as a candidate for the New Democratic Party in both provincial and federal elections, as well as in a Toronto municipal election.
