Pauline Irène Nguene is a Cameroonian politician currently serving as the Minister of Social Affairs. An engineer by training, she holds a degree in Petroleum Engineering from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and a master's degree in Earth Sciences from the University of Yaoundé. Before her ministerial appointment in 2015, she held various technical and advisory roles within the Prime Minister's office and served as the president of the Council for the Support of Partnership Contracts (CARPA). Her work as minister has focused on social inclusion, the modernization of social welfare institutions, and the implementation of a unified social registry for vulnerable populations.
