Pema Khandu is an Indian politician serving as the 9th Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh since 2016. A member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, he previously held ministerial positions in the state government, including Minister of Tourism and Water Resources. Born in Tawang, he is a member of the Monpa tribe and has been recognized for his initiatives in cultural preservation, environmental conservation, and public outreach programs such as 'Sarkar Aapke Dwar'. He has secured multiple electoral victories in the Mukto constituency and continues to lead the state government.
