Peng Chi-ming is a Taiwanese meteorologist and politician currently serving as the Minister of Environment. Before entering government in 2024, he founded WeatherRisk Explore, Taiwan's first private weather service company, and became widely known as a prominent expert on climate change and weather forecasting. Throughout his career, he has advocated for weather insurance and sustainable environmental policies. As Minister, he has focused on positioning Taiwan as a key player in global climate governance, promoting carbon pricing, and developing strategies to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
