
Perihan Koca
Profile
Perihan Koca is a Turkish politician, educator, and human rights activist currently serving as a Member of the Grand National Assembly for Mersin. Born in Antalya in 1987, she graduated from Ondokuz Mayıs University as a special education teacher. Before entering parliament, she worked as a teacher in Istanbul until she was dismissed from her position in 2017 under Decree-Law No. 686. Koca is a member of the Social Freedom Party's spokesperson board and was elected to the Turkish parliament in the 2023 general elections as a candidate for the Democracy and Equality Party (DEM Party).
