Pete Wishart

Pete Wishart is a Scottish politician and former professional musician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Perth and Kinross-shire since 2024. A long-standing member of the Scottish National Party, he previously represented Perth and North Perthshire and North Tayside. Before his political career, Wishart was a keyboardist for the Celtic rock bands Runrig and Big Country. In Parliament, he has held roles including SNP Shadow Leader of the House and chair of the Scottish Affairs Select Committee, focusing on issues such as constitutional reform, parliamentary rights, and Scottish independence.
