Peter Guthrie is a Canadian politician serving as a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta for the electoral district of Airdrie-Cochrane since 2019. Formerly a member of the United Conservative Party, he served as Minister of Energy and Minerals from 2022 to 2023 and Minister of Infrastructure from 2023 to 2025. After resigning from his cabinet post and leaving the UCP caucus in 2025, Guthrie became the leader of the Alberta Party, which he subsequently rebranded as the Progressive Tory Party of Alberta. Before entering politics, he was a business owner, operating a ranch and a franchise.
