Peter Hanke is an Austrian politician and manager serving as the Minister for Innovation, Mobility and Infrastructure in the Stocker government since March 2025. Born in Vienna in 1964, he spent much of his career in the city's public sector, notably serving as the managing director of Wien Holding from 2002 to 2018. Before his current ministerial appointment, he served as the Executive City Councillor for Finance, Economic Affairs, Digitalization, and International Relations for the City of Vienna starting in 2018. Hanke is a member of the Social Democratic Party (SPÖ) and has been recognized for his work in economic management and crisis response during his tenure in municipal government.
