Peter Van Rompuy is a Belgian politician serving as a member of the Flemish Parliament. Born on March 5, 1980, he is the son of former Belgian Prime Minister Herman Van Rompuy. He has been active in the Christian Democratic and Flemish (CD&V) party and assumed the role of group leader for the CD&V in the Flemish Parliament in February 2019, following the appointment of Koen Van den Heuvel to the Flemish government. He continues to represent his party within the regional legislative body.
