Petra van Hartskamp-de Jong

Petra van Hartskamp-de Jong is a Dutch jurist and politician who served as the Mayor of Montfoort from 2016 to 2025. A member of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD), she previously held roles as a municipal councilor and alderman in Huizen, as well as serving as a member of the Provincial Council of North Holland. Throughout her career, she has been involved in financial services and local governance, focusing on areas such as public safety, tourism, and inter-municipal cooperation. Upon her departure from the mayoralty in December 2025, she was named an honorary citizen of Montfoort.
