Petrit Malaj

Petrit Malaj is an Albanian economist and politician serving as the Minister of Finance of Albania since July 2024. Born in Tirana in 1978, he holds a degree in Finance and Banking from the University of Tirana and a master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse in the United States. Before his appointment to the cabinet, Malaj held leadership roles at BDO Albania and worked within the Albanian banking sector. In early 2024, he served as the Executive Director of the National Agency of Natural Resources.
