Phil King

Phil King is an American politician and attorney serving as a member of the Texas State Senate since 2023. Previously, he served in the Texas House of Representatives from 1999 to 2023. A conservative Republican, King has been a prominent figure in Texas politics, authoring legislation on issues such as congressional redistricting, voter identification, and the regulation of telecommunications. He is known for his advocacy of parental rights in education and public policy, including efforts to require the display of the Ten Commandments in public schools. Before his legislative career, he served as a captain in the Fort Worth Police Department and as a justice of the peace.
