Pierre Cuypers is a French politician serving as a Senator for Seine-et-Marne since 2016. Before entering national politics, he had a long career in the agricultural sector, serving as president of the local chamber of agriculture for 18 years and the departmental federation of agricultural unions (FDSEA) for 13 years. He also served as the mayor of Aubepierre-Ozouer-le-Repos from 2008 to 2017. As a member of The Republicans, he sits on the Senate's Economic Affairs and European Affairs committees and has notably opposed the privatization of Aéroports de Paris.
