Piyush Goyal

Piyush Goyal is an Indian politician currently serving as a Member of the Lok Sabha representing the Mumbai North constituency. A prominent leader within the Bharatiya Janata Party, he has held several key ministerial portfolios in the Union Cabinet, including Minister of Commerce and Industry, Minister of Textiles, and Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. Previously, he served as a member of the Rajya Sabha and as the Leader of the House in the Rajya Sabha. A chartered accountant by training, Goyal has been instrumental in major policy initiatives regarding energy efficiency, railway modernization, and the promotion of digital commerce. He is recognized for his contributions to energy policy, having received the 2018 Carnot Prize.
